Something happened to Premier David Eby after Donald Trump’s inauguration in January.

At first, Eby said the MAGA president and his billionaire backers had declared “economic war” on Canada. He even threatened to withhold rare minerals used by the U.S. military.

Five months later, he’s promoting an American-owned gas terminal backed by one of Trump’s biggest donors – with a pipeline built by U.S. military contractor Bechtel.

Eby vowed to help B.C. workers, especially in sectors hit hard by Trump’s tariffs. Now he’s ready to approve an LNG terminal built in a Korean shipyard with Korean steel.

The BC NDP passed laws requiring consent from First Nations, and modern environmental assessments for major projects. Bill 15 threw all that out the window.

Eby himself said: “We cannot continue to expand fossil fuel infrastructure and hit our climate goals”. So his government is abandoning those goals.

In half a year Eby went from “elbows up” to “drill baby drill,” handing control of our resources – and a 750 kilometre swath of our province – to the oligarchs funding Trump.

It could be a matter of days before Eby approves the American-owned Western LNG terminal. Tell him he’s making a huge mistake. Send your message to his office at the link below.
